In Memory of Evan.
January 16, 1982 - September 11, 2006
When I was 18, I met and married the man I thought I'd spend the rest of my life with. He was funny, smart and had the biggest heart anyone could have. Everyone knew and loved Evan. His smile could light the whole world up. The type of person that never met a stranger. Evan had that special gift of seeing people blindly. He never judged. He never assumed. He was a special person.
Evan had 2 passions in life. Music and riding his motorcycle. Those were his favorite things to do in his free time. He was a very talented musician.
- Just 3 short years later -
I remember that September morning like it was yesterday. September 10th, 2006. Evan had gone riding with a friend. We had plans to grill out later that evening. I remember driving to our friends house and pulling to the side of the road to let an ambulance roar past me. Minutes later... I would find out--- that ambulance was on its way to Evan. Evan had wrecked his bike in the neighborhood our friend lived in. Evan was airlifted to UAB hospital and later that evening, died from anoxic brain injury. He was 24 years old.
-My heart will never be the same; he is greatly missed.
